Schedule & More!

What to Expect

We want you to feel comfortable at MSYC. Bring a water bottle, your own yoga mat (we have loaner mats), and an extra layer, the gentle and restorative classes are slow paced and we don’t want you to be focused on your body temp, we want you to enjoy every moment. Wear comfortable clothes and allow yourself to be fully present for your class.

Gentle & Restorative Yoga

We call this class “pillow fort nap time.” This class is a slow pace, with some poses held for 2-7 minutes. We focus on hips, shoulders, and deep breathing techniques to leave you feeling restored and ready for anything.

Sound Baths

If you are wondering what a sound bath entails, it will be a 60–90-minute session where you come dressed in your comfiest clothing and bring any blankets, pillows, sleeping pads, etc. so you can lay down and relax as hard and comfy as you can, while letting the resonation of the crystal sound bowls wash over and massage your whole person—mind, body and spirit.

The most commonly reported benefits of sound baths include feeling deeper relaxation, lessening of anxiety and stresses, positive attitude and mood changes, having better sleep, heightened awareness of self, more energy, more focus and just feeling a sense of rejuvenation. I used to ignorantly think of sound healing as more “Harry Potter magic” than actual healing, but the improvement of hard sciences over the past decade all supports the benefits people have been describing for thousands of years from all around the world—which I am now excited to share with you!

Nothing will replace the best-known practices of taking care of ourselves—healthy diet, exercise, intentional thinking, etc.—but this will definitely give you a welcomed boost to your own personal intention of healing and recovery, no matter what stage or place you are currently at on your journey.

Wear your comfiest clothing (seriously—no judgement on any article of clothing you feel the comfiest in, even if it is a My Little Pony’s hoodie) 😊
Bring blankets, pillows, sleeping pads, sleeping bag, eye covers, bunny slippers, beanie hats, etc., so you can lay on the ground in perfect comfort and bliss.
Bring a water bottle for afterwards (hydrating is important!)
Have an open, inviting mind and bring an intention of listening, relaxing and healing
